Floaterhoist, a solution for your bike!

Andrew Mountain - "an avid bicyclist with one-too-many bikes to store in his small living space" created a way to store bikes safely up and out of the way: a ceiling mounted horizontal bike storage. It's a great invention that allows you to store any type of bicycle in small apartments, offices, vacation homes or garages.

How does it work?

Once the hoist fixed, all you need to attach the bike and pull the pulleys and simply lock the ropes in the cleats - here the CL203. To unlock them, raise the ropes at an angle. There is a mechanical advantage of 2:1 that makes lifting the bike easy. Instructions here.

"I really love the Floaterhoist and it is designed and built to a level of quality way beyond anything else on the market" said Kevin Kimberley owner of Clicgear Industrial Design who helped design Floaterhoist.

Several important features:

- Installs on either wooden joists or concrete ceilings with supplied hardware
- Lifting slings are gentle and won't damage the bicycle
