PT525

The Clamcleat® PT525 is a Stopper Ball that uses a screw to clamp the ball in the middle of a rope.  Originally designed for 8-9mm tubes that are used on Kitesurf brake lines, it also works well on ropes.

The stainless steel screw is tightened using a 3mm allen key. It bites into the tube or rope and holds the ball securely in place.  The ball can be moved and adjusted by simply loosening the screw and moving the ball to a new position. This makes it an ideal adjustable stopper ball.

The ball is made of impact resistant material, which makes it ideal for use on kitesurf brake lines, to protect the CL826-11 cleat and other fittings.

For smaller ropes, use the PT524.
The PT525 is usually used with the CL826-11 brake line cleat.
For a 4:1 advantage, use the PT525 with the CL826-11/S2 cleat.

Q: How often should you replace the Aero cleat on my Kitesurfing break line?

Ans: The teeth of the aluminum cleat will wear in time as the break line can become very abrasive with a buildup of sand and salt from the beach. If the cleat starts to slip it’s time to replace the cleat only, not the whole Aero cleat. We would also recommend using the Hard anodized version of the cleat which will be highlighted with AN at the end of the part number.
