CL241 and CL273 provide ideal solution to new 420 rule
17 Aug 2016
Mike Wood a well-respected British sailor in the 420 class, has reacted quickly to the new class rules issued this year and fitted a CL273AN to his foredeck.
The 4mm diameter excel racing rope is held perfectly by the cleat. The CL273 has a low profile and is light weight; you could also consider using a CL241 depending which side you wish to cleat and uncleat.

stemhead fitting, one cleat without moving parts mounted on the foredeck, one
fairlead directly behind the cleat and a single piece of rope.

Where access to nuts is limited, check you can reach the bolt. If it is beyond arm's reach, try sticking the nut onto a sail batten with tape or Blue Tack
