KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE BAR
The Clamcleat® CL265 kitesurf bar cleat is a new cleat for tensioning kitesurf brake lines. The advantage of this cleat is that the bar can be locked off at any power level you require. It has been designed and developed in close co-operation with North Shore Inc of Hood River, USA.
The CL265 is suitable for use on any bar with fixed or offset leader line adjustment. The brake line can be adjusted without taking your hands off the bar. When the cleat is mounted on the bar angled forwards and down, (see Option A), all that is needed to adjust the brake line is to rotate the bar backwards or forwards.
If the cleat is fitted to the bar so that it is angled upwards, then the brake line can be fitted with an extra purchase and adjusted by the kite surfer using one hand (see Option B).
The cleat is available in a silver finish or hard anodised dark grey and is suitable for use with 4mm to 8mm line. Cleats are supplied complete with all necessary fittings and fastenings to enable the cleat to be fixed to bars of between 25mm and 31mm diameter in the two different ways to suit the kitesurfer‘s personal preference.
