IMATS - Expansion to Costa Rica

In 2012, the owners of Clamcleats Limited opened IMATS Injection Moulding And Tooling Services in a brand new facility in Costa Rica. This factory is dedicated to the injection moulding of engineering plastics.

We are part of a family of companies that has been established for 50 years, manufacturing both our own brand and other companies' products. This gives us the experience to look at projects from both a supplier's and a customer's point of view.

Injection Moulding

 Extensive experience: From the leisure marine to the telecommunications
 industry including the automotive and pharmaceutical markets.

We mould a wide variety of technical parts, including insert-moulded and
 over-moulded parts. Our in-depth knowledge and experience of engineering  polymers enables us to bring an efficient response to any project's  constraints.

Toolmaking

Tools can be produced in aluminium, pre toughened steel or fully hardened steel.A network of Costa-Rican, European and Far East tool makers allows us to take on both large and small scale projects.

Whether you have a simple conceptual sketch, full drawings or a 3D model, we can turn your design into a finished part. Our engineers can offer you advice on design and product development suggestions.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS

- Manuel Remerez has now joined IMATS as our Tooling Engineer. He has over 20 years experience designing and managing toolings projects

- 2 new customers where the tooling was made in China and production will be in Costa Rica.

OUR PLANS FOR THE NEXT 12 MONTHS

- IMATS will be investing in ISO9001.

- We will install a new mezzanine, expanding floor space by 19%.
