Currently the two most popular cleats are the CL241 Racing Sail Line Cleat and the CL253 Trapeze and Vang Cleat. The cleats are manufactured in aluminium for low weight, high strength and durability and have either a silver or dark grey hard anodised finish. Both cleats are very easy to tension when setting up and to adjust while surfing.
The CL241 has a very low profile and can be mounted on the centre of the control bar for either left or right hand adjustment. The cleat has no moving parts which might jam through the ingress of sand or grit, or corrosion.
The CL253 is rigged on the brake line itself where the cleat's firm hold on ropes and easy release properties will be much appreciated.
