Clamcleat-CL212BP-B
Clamcleat® CL212BP-B is a Black backplate for black and hard anodised cleats:- CL213, CL214, CL241AN, CL258AN, CL259AN, CL273AN, CL281 and CL283.
Use a backplate when riveting a cleat onto dark coloured fabric, canvas, webbing and sailcloth. It spreads the load and will prevent the rivet pulling through. A backplate can also be used when a cleat is sewn onto fabric. On carbon fibre sails, cleats should only be sewn because alloy rivets can corrode.
Backplates can be purchased separately or with the cleats.
Use CL212BP-B with the black nylon CL213 and CL214 open cleats.
Use CL212BP-B with the hard anodised aluminium CL258AN and CL259AN open cleats.
Use CL212BP-B with the black nylon CL281 and CL283 fairlead cleats.
Use CL212BP-B with the hard anodised aluminium CL241AN and CL273AN fairlead cleats.
For white and silver cleats, use the white CL212BP backplate.
