Clamcleat-CL212
The Clamcleat® CL212 Leech Line Cleat is a low profile white nylon cleat, for sewing or riveting onto sails and technical fabrics. Can also be used on flag poles and tubes. It can be mounted in two positions on the sail. The tooth design allows a quick, positive lock that is easy to release, added to its low profile it is an ideal cleat for adjusting leech lines.
The CL212 is usually ftted to the Port side of a sail, when used for tensioning leech lines. See the fitting diagrams above.
Use CL212BP backplate when riveting CL212 onto fabric as it will prevent the rivet pulling through.
CL212A is a shield for the CL212, to keep the rope close to the cleat.
The aluminium version of this cleat is the the CL258.
If you require a cleat for the other side of a sail, look at the CL214W.
A similar nylon sail cleat, with a fairlead, is the CL281.
CL241 is the aluminium version of CL281.
