Kitesurfing

Eclipse Kites used Clamcleats Ltd to turn the EZ-LOCK from concept to reality in 9 weeks. We were given a concept and worked closely with Dimitri Maramenides to turn this into a production part.

Firstly, fully functioning prototypes were made for testing. Once these had been proved on the water, the red casing was modelled in 3D, making the best use of the chosen material. A mould tool was then manufactured and production mouldings produced.

Handmade prototypes were tested to decide the final design. The pre-production part was also used to produce instructions while the tool was being made.
