Clamcleats Ltd cuts cardboard waste and helps Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City

Clamcleats Ltd are delighted to support Isabel Hospice by donating used cardboard and packaging to their eBay operation, based in Welwyn Garden City. A simple idea but one that benefits both parties and more importantly, frees up money for a charity which helps so many people. Isabel Hospice has been providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care for over 400,000 people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. Their vision is ‘Outstanding Palliative Care for All’. They operate 16 physical shops and 3 online stores - including an award-winning eBay outlet - from which all profits are passed to the charity. Madeleine Clark, Isabel Hospice’s Sustainability Development Manager said “Working with local businesses is an important factor in supporting the circular economy. By utilising assets and working together we can all save costs, reduce landfill, and raise vital funds needed to support our patients with life-limiting illnesses.”

Clamcleats Ltd can resolve your supply chain security issues

In the current climate, supply chain security can be a major concern for manufacturers, especially if components are being shipped halfway around the world. The uncertainty, together with cost, carbon footprint and cash tied up in long transit times, is causing many companies to rethink their supply chains. Over the last 12 months we have been helping more and more customers to either relocate their injection moulding tools and production back to the UK or create a second line of tools and manufacturing to dual source. In our experience sometimes this can be achieved without increasing the unit cost. The contract moulding arm of Clamcleats Ltd manufactures moulded and cast components for some of the leading brands at our Welwyn Garden City HQ in the UK. Our services range from tool layout and design, through production, second ops and printing. For more information about this service please contact plasticmoulding.co.uk/

Clamcleats Ltd helps RAD Propulsion with injection moulding product tooling

RAD Propulsion’s RAD 40 is a radically different electric outboard delivering 40kW of continuous power. Its compact design ensures the entire outboard remains behind the transom and does not intrude into the vessel’s deck space. It delivers exceptional control and manoeuvrability with full drive-by-wire controls and 180 degrees of steering, making it incredibly easy to dock. Clamcleats Ltd services include product design and development, tool design and manufacturing through to component moulding. We are very pleased to have been involved with the translucent motor, throttle housing and other components on the RAD 40. The new Pulse 63 RIB from RS Electric Boats has also been designed and developed around the RAD 40 giving it a top speed of 23 Knots and a range of up to 100 nautical miles.
