Boat Covers
The CL234 makes an easy way of tying down Dinghies when being stored for short or long periods of time. He used a simple hitch behind the Clamcleat as in the wind some of the covers do flap around. Here are a few shots of our CL234 cleat being used to tie down boat covers.
''The best thing is, we now have a simple arrangement for members to secure the boats down when they have finished using them, “even with cold and wet hands, its a simple task that’s member proof !!'' -Peter Melling, KSA Dinghy Park
The boats have all remained nicely secured down during the lock down period and we have had some gales and inclement weather, along with the sunshine so I am please with the way they have all performed and look, they are just as I left them.

Up close images of the cleats below show the different variations.
The image below (left) shows an eye in the rope which allows the rope to run through with less friction. The image (middle-left) shows a bowline being used which is quicker and doesn't require an eye. The image below (middle-right) shows the spliced rope. They use a double hitch here which adds more security than a single hitch but they are both good options. The image below (right) is the single hitch option.
