Clamcleats Ltd launches CL835 thru tube sheave plate for Mk2 cleats

The Clamcleat® CL835 is designed to guide the rope from inside the tube to the outside, cleating with either Aluminium CL211 Mk2 or Nylon CL272 cleats. It's ideal for use with sunshades and flag poles. The sheave prevents the rope from touching the fixings, allowing it to travel in the same direction as the cleat or at 180 degrees. The plate housing ensures a neat finish, even if the hole cut in the tube is slightly oversized. Simply follow the provided cutting diagram. This device fits tubes ranging from 30 to 150mm in diameter.

Clamcleats ltd now sells & distributes Chok-a-Blok webbing strap guards

The Chok-A-Blok™ CAB35 & CAB50 strap guards protects both the cargo and the webbing strap when you are strapping down the load. They protect delicate surfaces, such as varnished wood and gel coat, when loaded onto trailers or trucks. Key features of the strap guard • Holds all types of webbing strap, CAB35 from 25-35mm (1" - 11/2") wide and CAB50 from 35-50mm (11/2" - 2"). • Clips easily onto the webbing strap. • It is light weight and stays in place on the strap throughout the important stage of strap positioning. • It can easily be slid along the strap to the point of contact. • Additional units can be added to extend the area of coverage. • Because the foam has a closed cell structure it is resistant to the ingress of solid debris. It is easy to keep clean and avoids damage to gel coats, varnish etc. The foam does not soak up moisture, so you don't get water marks on the polished surfaces. • As tension is applied to the strap, frictional damage to the surface of the cargo is eliminated because the strap is allowed to slip easily across the polypropylene top surface. • The clips hold the Chok-A-Blok™ onto loose webbing, so they can be left on loose strapping preventing them from getting lost and stay in place for next time.

Clamcleat® rope cleats used on yacht sunshades at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival

Sun protection is a crucial aspect of your sailing experience, especially in warmer countries. During a recent visit to the Cannes Yachting Festival, we noticed several yacht brands have improved their onboard sunshade styles. Lily Baeum uses the CL211 Mk1CS on the Levanzo 25 and Lipari 31, which allows the canopy to be easily adjusted and tensioned. The superyacht Sonrisa, built by Astondoa SA from Spain, is 24m long. It uses the CL236AN to tension and adjust the sunshade sail on its bridge deck. Lagoon Catamarans utilize the CL230AN along with the CL814/S1 keeper to create an ideal sunshade for several models in its range. Clamcleats Ltd launches countersink and base insulators

Clamcleats Ltd has launched a range of countersinks and base insulators for its aluminum cleats. Electrolytic de-composition has always been a problem since the introduction of composite masts and spars. This slowly damages the aluminum or carbon unless barrier paste, adhesive or a thin layer of plastic is used to keep the dissimilar compounds apart, which is always messy and time consuming. This has been eliminated by the introduction of our new countersinks and base plate, all of which are available in 3 sizes. PT424&25 are for No4/3mm countersink (flathead) fixings and are now available. These are used on our Micros cleats: CL268, CL270, CL277 and CL278. PT420&21 are for No8/4mm countersink (flathead) fixings and the full range of Mk2 cleats. Available soon. PT422&23 are for No10/5mm countersink (flathead) fixings and the full range of Mk1 cleats. Available soon. Whether you are a spar or component manufacturer, boat builder or just adding a new cleat to your rig, it’s an attractive, hassle free solution to ensure the life of your standing rigging is maintained.
