Tess & Dervla gear up for the 49erFX worlds with the help of CL253 & PT230SSE

The Australian pair of Tess Lloyd and Dervla Duggan only teamed up in early 2022, with the goal to represent Australia in the 49erFX class at the Paris 2024 Olympics. They are currently preparing for the worlds in Nova Scotia, Canada in early September and will then be heading back to Australia for a full summer of training. "We love the reliability of all of the Clamcleat Ltd products we have onboard which allows us to compete at the highest level" explains Tess. We will be checking in with them over the next 2 years on their progress towards their ultimate goal of being at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Work starts on the building expansion at Clamcleats Ltd

Work has started on the site development at Clamcleats Ltd HQ in Welwyn Garden City. This structure will increase our footprint by 20% and allow us to streamline our production and storage facility, giving an extra 25% of usable production space. Our production lines will not be affected during construction and we are hoping to have the work completed by the end of September 2022.

New IMATS building is completed ahead of schedule

IMATS, our sister contract moulding and assembly company in Costa Rica, opens its new production facility ahead of schedule. This state of the art 3,000m² facility in Cartago, Costa Rica is now completed and includes 2600m² of production floor space, 400m² of offices space, 2 pit type loading docks and a floor level loading ramp. This investment will allow the company to double its production capacity and attract larger customers and contracts, servicing the US market .

Clamcleat rope cleats in V&A museum historical significance archive

The world famous V&A (Victoria & Albert museum, London) has been digitally updating their records. Low profile lightweight leech cleat now available

We have just launched our CL281 (port) and CL283 (starboard) low profile nylon leech cleat for use in sail making or when a low profile cleat is required. Both cleats are produced in nylon for 2-5mm rope, available in black or white and are designed as a lightweight (10gms) alternative to our aluminium cleats CL241 and CL273. They are available on retail cards or bulk packed with backing plate and rivets if required.

To strengthen our position in the growing French market we have added XPO to distribute Clamcleat® rope cleats. The company has over 30 years experience in supplying the sailboat Industry from boatbuilder and design offices to racing teams and chandlers. XPO has a great reputation for expertise and service. Historically they have always been close to the heart of the leisure marine industry in France. New Imats building takes shape

The walls and roof are now completed for our new 3000 m2 purpose built moulding facility in Costa Rica. The fit out phase will start in the next few days and we are hoping to be up and running by the end of August 2022.
