We have launched a screw-on stopper/shock absorber ball – Initially designed for the Kite surfing market to act as a shock absorber between the CL826-11 cleat on the brake line and the bar, to stop the bar being damaged if released under load. Two options are available for 6 or 8-9mm line or tube, simply slide the ball to the correct position and secure using the stainless-steel Allen key grub screw, approximately 10mm from the cleat.
The stopper ball can also be used on racing Dinghies and Yachts to create a 2 way stop position for outhauls, vangs, and pole deployment systems

Jeff and Mags Rees from Teifi Trees use our CL234 to maximise efficiency on their Christmas tree farm based at the foot of the Cambrian mountains in mid Wales. They specialise in growing Fraser Fir which has a narrow bushy shape, a wonderful aroma and is well suited to the Welsh climate. Currently they have over 100,000 trees in the ground and are aiming to harvest 10,000 trees a year. Each tree takes approx.. 10 years to mature and the trees are distributed all over the country. As you can see from the video, they run a very successful felling and packing system and the CL234 is a very simple and effective way of moving the cut trees around the farm.

The company develops equipment to support organisations involved in the defeat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDS) as well as unexploded ordnance. The kite reel allows the line used to be stored and deployed easily and is used in conjunction with other items in the kit. Is a Clutch always the best solution?
The simple answer is no but it does depend on the application, boat size and the type of sailing you do. If it's one of your halyards, you race and your boat is over 7m then in most cases the clutch mechanism is advantageous. If on the other hand you are racing something smaller, cruising or needing to control lines for other applications, for example outhauls, cunningham, kicker, spinnaker pole uphauls etc, then the Clamcleat cleat CL211MK1AN, keeper CL814 and cage CL816 for lines up to 6mm could be the best solution for your application, taking up less space, more compact and at 70% less than the price of a clutch.
