When Clamcleats Limited introduced a new high-tech, dark grey hard anodised finish, it was initially for a selection of aluminium Racing cleats. The new finish transforms the look of the cleats and has proved so popular that it is now available on all the company's top-selling aluminium cleats.
As ropes and control lines on racing dinghies, catamarans and sailing boats get thinner, they are that much more painful to pull really hard when tensioning the rig or, for example, the trampoline of a catamaran. The latest Power Grip cleats allow you to pull a rope harder, without pain. No more sore hands. You can also release loaded lines safely and under control, particularly when taking the tension off the rig at the end of a day's sailing.
Many sailors have been fastening the standing end of control lines to the fairlead on products such as the Clamcleat® CL211 Mk2 Racing Junior, to achieve a 2:1 advantage.
The extreme demands of kite surfing make it essential to have the correct gear. Kite surfers and equipment manufacturers have been quick to take advantage of the benefits of Clamcleat® rope cleats for use on the brake line to give the ultimate in power control.
Clamcleats Limited has introduced a range of display posters to help increase sales of Clamcleat® products and to create a stronger in-store presence. The posters are available as Acrobat PDF files and can be downloaded from www.clamcleat.com/tradinfo.htm

Glen Trusewell, who races a Merlin Rocket, has fitted Keepers and Cages to the cleats for the twin spinnaker pole downhauls. These controls are cleated or uncleated at every gybe.
Nigel Dennis Sea-Kayaks have fitted the CL814 keeper to the CL203 cleat used to control the skeg. The reason for retro fitting it was to prevent the line from accidently recleating.
